Terregen 2
I must say that T2 is a hard program (at least for me it is) to learn. I also have a copy of Terregen and Terregen2. The main difference between Terregen and Terregen 2 is that the #2 version lets you add objects to your renders. It is a free download so if you're interesting in finding out more about these programs just click here.

Rose #6
Here is Rose 06 of my Roses Sample Collection!
I made these roses in Plant Studio and then I uv-mapped them (which means I added the different colors to the parts of the rose) using UV Mapper.
I'm pretty sure I made the vase using S Patch and I imported the vase into Bryce and gave it its white color. Now S Patch lets you export in .dxf and this is a format that Bryce recognizes so I was easily able to import the vase into Bryce.
The same thing goes with the rose where Plant Studio lets you export in .dxf format. Another good thing about importing the rose into Bryce was that I was able to color the rose parts individually which is something a little bit more easier to do than to UV map them which takes longer and is quite a detailed thing to do!
I'm just "getting" on the idea that I can upload my original creations so that others who may want to download them can do so! I have already started to upload some of my 3D stuff and if you would like to see them and decide whether or not you would like to download them just visit here.

DazStudio - Fairy
DazStudio is a free 3D graphics program that I was able to download. If you do a little checking around you will be able to find quite a number of free 3d graphics programs that you can download!
This free 3D program included the V3 and M3 characters which allowed me to be able to make some very good renders.
Basically this program came with more of a "fairy" aspect to it. It includes fairy clothes and fairy-like atmospheres which provides a good starting point for me as I'm learning more about 3D creating.
As you can see from the picture above the human female model, clothes and environment are also included with the program. With this program I can do many things! For instance I can change the look of the female, I can make here look younger or older, I can even make her look different ethnic ways. I can pose her body including her arms and legs to differnet posing positions. I can even animate the figure - though I'm still learning how to do that.
Everything that you see in the render has been provided by the DazStudio program. It's a great free 3D program to help you learn more about creating 3D renders.

One Of My Terragen Renders
Here is one of the renders that I created last year using the Terragen program. I entered it in one of the Terragen-related contests.
The Terragen program is available as a free download (please see my other Terragen-related posts) and it is a terrain generating program.
It lets you create, edit and modify terrains. The program also has an option of you adding water to your terrain for sea-like renders. You can also edit the atmosphere and the clouds - as you can see from the picture above.

Rose 03 Render
This render was created using Vue6's personal limited edition!
This next render was created using Bryce (which I find a little bit easier to use than Vue because VUE seems to use up a lot of my computer's resources. Again this is a render to show what the Rose #3 model looks like when it is uv-mapped.
The other plants that you see I also created using Plant Studio. The mausoleum that you see was a free download. And if you can see it in the background, the building structure was also a free download. Everything else that you see (including the stone cross) I made myself.
I have since come to find out that flower objects are composed of a LOT of polygons! What this means is that the bigger the number of polygons the more complicated the object and the longer it may take to load and render.

Rose 02 Render

Here you see a render of the Rose 02 object that I created in Plant Studio and rendered in Vue 6 - Personal Limited Edition.
Now if you look very closely at the rose you will see that it's not completely colored - at least not to my satisfaction!
Well I do want to get it right. So what am I going to do? Well I think that first I am going to re uv-map this rose object. For some reason the uv map that I was using doesn't seem to be working too well so I'll just "bite the bullet" and re-map the rose object.
One thing that I am learning from all of this is patience!
Since I'm going to be offering these Rose objects for sale I think that it would behoove me to get the texture maps right - at least to my satisfaction. I am going to use the UV Mapper program for this. It is available as a free download! You can find out more about this program by clicking here.
For right now the render that you see was made in VUE 6.

Rose 01 Render

My current project involves my Rose models!
As you can see from the picture above I have completed Rose #1. The rose object was created using PlantStudio. After I created the rose object in PlantStudio I then saved it as an .obj. The next step was to UV map the rose object which just means that I "fragmented" it so that I could add color / surface / materials to it. I used the UV Mapper program to do this.
Once I added colors to the object, the color / texture map was saved.
Next I imported the rose #1 object into Bryce. Once I uploaded the rose object into Bryce I could then add the texture map that I created for the rose object from the UV Mapper program.
And the final result you see here.
Now as you can see the rose(s) look kind of "light in color but since this is Rose #1 I have had time to learn more about UV mapping. I'm going to go back and re-texture this so that it looks more better.

Terragen - One of my contest entries!

Here is one of my Terragen renders that I entered in a contest on Renderosity.com. I didn't win but it was fun coming up with the creation!
In case you didn't know, Terragen is a 3d graphics program that creates terrains! You can find out more about this program by clicking here. It is also available as a free download - in fact there are 2 versions of this program!

My First Object(s) For Sale!
Well I have completed my first real object for sale!
What you see in the above picture is a render of some roses that I created in the 3D program PlantStudio. If you like these roses and want to be able to use them yourself you can find out more about how you can download this file for yourself by clicking here. Please be advised that this file is in PlantStudio format - .pla file - so you will need to have a copy of the program in order to be able to use this file!
I'm currently working on converting these roses into objects so that you can download them as .obj and be able to work with them and use them in other formats and programs!

Rose-Pink-Sample-Vue
I took the sample pink rose that I did and made a render of using Vue6. You can see the render I made below:

One of the things that I found out about creating plant models / objects is that they take a LOT of polygons to render them (this same thing also applies to tree objects as well!) As a result the more polygons in your render the longer it takes to render your picture.
One of the great features of Vue is that you can take a single model and replicate it many times over (again you have to be careful about this because the more models you have the more polygons you are using).
I took my rose-sample and replicated it several times!
the rocks that you see were already included with Vue!
The simple house (and the bench in the front) I made from the Vue tutorial and the house on your left was a free download that I got off of the Internet.
The trees are trees that I created in Vue and saved for further uses.

Rose-Pink-Sample

Here is a sample of a pink rose that I made in Plant Studio. You can download this free 3d object by clicking here.
I'm currently working on making series of them so that I will be able to sell them online.
I have a Working From Home blog where I talk about different ways that people can earn money from home and one of the ways that I mention here on this blog and also on my Dream Job Consultant page is that one work at home idea is to take a program that is already on your computer and use it to create a business of your own.
This may definitely be a possibility with this program!

The Dog House

Here is something that I have recently been working on.
I had originally wanted to do this render using the DazStudio program but I found that the doghouse that I made using Wings3d would allow for textures and the doghouse would have just been one solid color.
This render is also darker than usual as I'm trying out working on different kinds of "night" scenes. Looking at the picture now I 'm thinking that some lighting would be good to try.
Of course one of the things that I have learned is to save my original files so that I'll be able to work on them again and again!

Daz Studio - V3-Short Dress

Here is something that I am currently working on. The 3D program that I am using here is DazStudio which I got as a free download.
Basically what you see here is the Victoria 3 model - which came with Daz Studio. The earrings I tried very hard to get them to show through the hair so that one could see them - the earrings were from another free download. The hair was also a free download.
The scenery you see in the background came with DazStudio so they were already there.
What I want to emphasize here is the dress that this model is wearing. It's called a short-dress and it was available as a different free download (as soon as I find out the creator of this I will post about it here!). With this dress I can conform it to the female character model meaning that the dress will move with the figure - for instance if I change the pose of the model then the dress should conform to the new pose - which it does (for the most part).
Right now I just wanted to show you basically what the dress looks like. I made it a simple solid color to start off with - at least for a start.
However I am reading the tutorial that came with DazStudio and am finding out a lot of very interesting things about being able to change how the dress looks. So far I have experimented with changing the surface / material of the dress with different materials that I already have in my files. Plus I'm experimenting with making NEW materials as well! As you can probably guess my 3d-related files are getting huge!
Like I said I'm still learning this and one of the things that is perplexing me is the format that the material can be saved to. It looks like if I find an interesting material / surface I can save it as a .dsb file but then later I have trouble pulling up that same material file in case I want to use it again. So I'm still trying to learn about .dsb / material / surface files.

Another Free Download! The Ivy Generator!
I can't take the credit for finding this little "gem" of a program! The credit goes to the folks at the Bryce Forum on Delphi.
The Ivy Generator is a program that create ivy that you can include in your 3D renders. Below you will see an example of how one person used the program.

Here is my own little creation that I made while playing around with the program:
The Ivy Generator program is available as a free download from Thomas Luft and it is very generous of him indeed in that he states that you can use your renders for commercial purposes.
I just downloaded this program myself yesterday and I'm learning the program now. It has quite a few settings for how you want your ivy to look and those are the settings that I am learning.

World Machine!
For all of you Terragen lovers out there I have found a great program that you can use in conjunction with the Terragen program! (Actually I didn't find it - the good folks at Renderosity's Terragen Forum recommended this program.
It is a separate program that lets you create and modify 3D terrains that you can then import in Terragen. You can build some stunning-looking terrains with this program! I'm still learning it myself and you can see my progress so far:
You see, with using the Terragen program you can still create some good-looking terrains like so:

But with the World Machine Program you can also import .bmp files into the World Machine Program and add different "filters to it and get some very good looking effercts.
Here is currently a work-in-progress that I am currently working on:
It's called:
Ancient Ruins!
You can find out more about World Machine (including a free download of the program) by clicking here!

My 3D Page!

Well I was finally able to move my 3D page! You can get to it by clicking here.
My page also includes some of my other renders as well as links to some 3d-related information such as free downloads and such!
I'm also thinking about selling some of my own object from this site as well!

Vue6 - I Am Still Learning!

I'm getting a lot more interested in this 3d program so I decided to find out how much the real version costs. First I found out that I have the Personal Limited Edition of Vue6 Infinite! To buy the full program costs $695. It is definitely on my "wish list!
To find out more about this program (and also where to download the Personal Limited Edition) just click here.
I'm currently on page 125 of the tutorial and here is how my work looks so far:

I'm currently working with the eco-systems aspect of Vue6 which involves being able to (and create) objects as part of an ecosystem. For instance in the picture above you can see some grass and rocks - all put in using the ecosystem option.
Instead of placing an object one at a time, the ecosystem lets you place as many of an object that you want and it even slightly changes the look of the object so that they all won't look the same!

Vue6 - I Am Still Learning!
I have been playing around with my PLE version of Vue6. I have also been going through the tutorial and am coming to realize just how this program has so many options and features on it!
Like I said I'm still learning but I managed to create a short video - using Vue6 -
The quality isn't 100% but I was in such a rush to get it done that I let it use the poorer quality to make the video.
Here is a render that I made using the Vue6 program. Now I have the Personal Limited edition which puts watermarks and the Vue6 logo on your renders - yeah its a bummer I know - but still the program is still quite usable!
I had actually started this render because I wanted to enter on of the 3d contests but I didn't finish making the render in time.
The cottage I made using Wings3d and then imported it as an .obj file into Vue6. Once I imported the cottage, I then went through the steps of giving materials to the different parts of the cottage. The trees were done in Vue6 - they have a great option for that!
Turning it into a video required some effort but once I get used to the program it should be much easier to do!

3D Program - MakeHuman

Here is a render I made using the program "MakeHuman". Of course this 3D program makes human models - both male and female.
The background I made using Bryce.
The copyright information and my signature rose was added as an additional layer using the 2D program Gimp!
The dress and the hair was edited using the Wings3d program.

Want To Download Some of My Art?
I am a member of a site called ShareCG. It lets you upload your artwork so that others can download it. It also means that you can download and use other people's arts as long as you adhere to the conditions that they place.
You can download all sorts of artwork like backgrounds, 3d models, textures and even 3d specific software files like those for Terragen and Bryce! (If you do download any of the artwork be sure to leave a comment for the creater of the artwork because I am sure that they will appreciate that!
Like I said above, I am a member of this site but it took me a long while before I had created anything to upload!
Well I finally managed to create my fist upload - which was a candy-cane-like texture/material! I have since also uploaded some of my other artwork which includes the above pictured doghouse model that I created in Wings3d and that I am modeling from the Wings3d tutorial.
- While I have successfully managed to upload the doghouse model (in .obj format) I'm still learning about the texture / material aspect of it. I mean I did make a material to go with the doghouse but it never occured to me (until much later) that I could also upload the material for the doghouse too!)
I also have a fractal picture in the shape of a flower bouquet and anohter fractal in the shape of a spider web!
There is also a Terragen-related render that can be used as a background.
I'm having a lot of fun creating these 3d (and 2d) artwork!
